PSAT/NMSQT INFORMATION FOR CONNETQUOT HIGH SCHOOL
(Updated: August 18, 2026)
The college search and application process often includes standardized assessments such as the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and/or ACT. Students are encouraged to begin the process by speaking with their high school guidance counselor about college planning, including which assessments may be appropriate for them.
The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized assessment for students in grades 10 and 11 that measures reading, writing, and mathematics skills. The assessment provides students with an opportunity to practice for the SAT and, for eligible students, serves as the qualifying assessment for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Recommended Participation
- Grade 10: Connetquot High School recommends that students in Grade 10 who are enrolled in Algebra Honors or Pre-Calculus consider taking the PSAT/NMSQT.
